Spore Enters the Cell Phase in New Media
Electronic Arts today released new screenshots and video detailing the cell phase of Maxis' upcoming evolutionary title Spore.
Developed by Maxis, Spore has players managing the evolution of their creatures from the cellular level all the way to the point of interstellar travel. The universe--populated by other player's creations in a unique single-player MMO system--will introduce multiple gameplay elements, including simulation, real-time strategy, and action.
Spore is set for a September 7 release on PC and Mac, with a Nintendo DS version hitting on the same day. The Creature Creator application, a free download, will be out on June 17.
