Sony Computer Entertainment has released another batch of screens and details on Eat Sleep Play's Twisted Metal: Head On: Extra Twisted Edition (PS2). Founded by God of War creator David Jaffe, Eat Sleep Play's staff includes several Twisted Metal series veterans.

Due out this spring, the game features all of the content from Incognito's Twisted Metal: Head On (PSP), complete with a new level. The other portion of the game, which is labeled "Lost," includes characters from Twisted Metal: Black (PS2), four "lost" levels designed for the canceled Twisted Metal: Black sequel, and two new vehicles.

Along with the expected car combat carnage, the game will sport an on-foot level that has players controlling Sweet Tooth and learning about the franchise, a video documentary on the series, and several never-before-seen end movies from SingleTrac's original Twisted Metal.

The first images and trailer of Eat Sleep Play's debut project, Twisted Metal: Head On: Extra Twisted Edition (PS2), have arrived via the official PlayStation blog.

Described by Eat Sleep Play co-founder David Jaffe as a "love letter to Twisted Metal fans old and new," TM:HO:ETE is a drastically upgraded and enhanced port of Incognito's Twisted Metal: Head On (PSP), featuring new levels and graphics.

"I thought I was burnt out on the whole franchise but the second I sat down to design, it was like coming home," said God of War (PS2) and Calling All Cars (PS3) creator Jaffe. "It's been so much fun!"
